Correcting the Tilt
The CONSUL chair is a model in the catalog of the brand by Marseille-based designer Axel Chay. Originally, the chair's core concept was based on a construction using a single bent steel tube, forming the entire structure—legs, seat, and backrest. After a year on the market, customer feedback and internal observations revealed a slight forward imbalance. The goal was therefore to rework the chair for a second version, while preserving its original aesthetic as much as possible.

Tilting to Correct the Tilt
Researching existing chairs led to a solution: tilting the front legs to correct the tilting, while simultaneously readjusting the angle of the rear legs to maintain visual harmony. This leg tilt also served another purpose: to create simple, easily mass-produced solutions that met the constraints of suppliers.

The new version of the chair has replaced the original in the catalog, and it is now available in several colors. Personally, I find its profile more recognizable and distinctive. It was a real pleasure to contribute to this project, which leaves a lasting mark on the brand.
